ENTERS DIPLOMATIC FIELD (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) (United Service) TORONTO, Thursday. The Prime Minister, Mr. Mackenzie King, speaking at a meeting of the Board of Trade In Toronto, said his administration had entered the diplomatic field, not only to assume responsibilitv for Canada's external affairs, but also because It believed that consultation and co-operation with the British Ambassadors abroad would serve to broaden the base and secure more firmly the foundation upon which the Government of the British Empire The new move would make for British unity and permanency, as well as for the peace of the world.
