CORONATION ANNIVERSARY KING RATA CONGRATULATED (From Our Own Correspondent) HUNTLY, To-day. The anniversary of the coronation of King -Rata Mahuta falls to-day, and the Maori settlement at Waahi, where Rata lives, is the scene of great activity. Thousands of visiting natives have arrived to pay homage and tender congratulations, for Mahuta’s mana is strong and his tribe’s loyalty unquestioned. Thousands of loaves and lorry-loads of fish and potatoes, and over a dozen large pigs, are included in the menu to feed the big crowd. Influential natives from various visiting hapus gave their addresses of congratu! ation.
