SWEARS UNCONSCIOUSLY
LABOURER’S UNFORTUNATE HABIT Joseph South suffers from a bad habit of using exceedingly vile language, quite unconsciously, . when he is drunk. South, a labourer, aged 42, pleaded guilty at the Police Court this morning to being drunk on the Civic Square and using obscene language. Sub-Inspector McCarthy was of the opinion that South had no sense of responsibility. He was unable to keep away from drink, and, when intoxicated, used bad language, not realising what he was saying. The language South had used yesterday was the result of a dispute in a bus. Mr. F. K. - Hunt, S.M., sentenced South to three months’ imprisonment.
