FREEZING AWARD
NEW CONDITIONS Several alterations of a minor but nevertheless important character have b*en made in the Freezing Workers’ Award. They include the following: Work on ram lambs is stipulated ***** January 1 in the North Island, and after February 1 in the South Island. “Bobby” calves are now to be dealt on weight and not on age; those a olb. in weight being classed as tenThe scale is 7d up to 601 b. and 9d U P to 801 b. A limit of five men to a team on dossing “bobby” calves lias been included. with certain stipulations. Freezing chamber hands have been bought under the same conditions as other workers, subject to the power of /* e Court to revise this atfer 12 Months. The clause governing the minimum ages of casual workers has been reMsed.
