FLESH SHADES FOR UNDIES
POPULAR SHADES IN CREPE DE CHINE TONE WITH FROCKS While our misses revel in every colour of the rainbow for their day and evening frocks this summer, it is interesting to discover that almost universally they choose shades of flesh pink for their lingerie. A search through big stores recently disclosed this fact. Pinks range from decided peaches to nudes and flesh tones verging into apricots. Saleswomen gave it as their opinion that the colour is an easy one to tone with whatever silk frock is worn. Even the wearer of dark colours, such as navy and black, prefers lighter tones for her lingerie. There is a psychological reason given in explanation, for lighter colours look more hygienic and launder so delightfully that they give the wearer far more pleasure. YELLOWS IN VOGUE Yet yellows and green are tremendously in vogue, too. Being quite the most favoured colours for frocks this summer, it is but natural that under thin chiffons and georgettes the same toned undies will be worn. Old-time voiles have returned with such popularity and in so many varied designs that they simply shout for undies of the same tone to be worn with them. Greens then, with amethysts, raauves. gold, apricots and even orange, though still not serious rivals to the ail pervading flesh tones, are being bought up yard by yard in crepe de chine and georgette for the j making of some of the loveliest undies 1 that the feminine world has ever seen.
