“GRASS”
ADELPHI, GREY LYNN Richard *Dix has the role of a toohonest bank clerk in his latest comedydrama, ‘‘Easy Come, Easy Go,” to be shown at the Adel phi Theatre, Grey Lynn, this evening. The second .attraction is a picture entitled “Grass,” a drama of wild life and wilder adventure in the mountains between the Persian Gulf and the Black Sea. “Grass” is a picture bigger and more thrilling than “Chang.” “BRASS KNUCKLES” AT EMPIRE “Brass Knuckles” is the picture which heads this evening’s programme at the Empire Theatre. It has to do with a youth, who, while unjustly imprisoned, gets the ill-will of a fellow who hounds his later efforts to go straight. The hero, Zac, played with splendid verve and reality by Monte Blue, promises to care for the little daughter of a prisoner, and does care for her when she is released from the orphanage, until the former enemy makes things hot for him. The cast includes besides the stars. Blue and Betty Bronson, William Russell. “Horsemen of the Plains,” a thrilling Tom Mix story, is the second attraction.
