NORTH SHORE BOWLERS
The first series of match.es for the Cadness Cup, played at the Waitemata green, resulted as follows:—Devonport, 4 wins, 1 loss, 1 draw, 128 points: Waitemata, 2 wins, 3 losses, 1 draw, 125 points; Takapuna, 1 win, 2 losses, 3 draws, 111 points: Stanley, 1 win, 2 losses, 3 draws, 109 points: Th© cup is given for a series of competitions among the four North Shore clubs and was donated by Mr. i£. Cadness, president of the Waitemata Club. Two rinks are engaged from each club and play three games each in an all-day tournament on each of the four greens in turn. The highest aggregate score for the 12 games determines the winning club, which holds the cup until next season. Following were the teams engaged in the first series:—Waitemata A: Hulse, Dent, Hurley, Dick. Waitemata B: . Elston, Cadness, Fraser, McGill. Devonpo-t A: Stewart, McLaren, Watson, Morgan. Devonport B: Gill. Sinclair, Broughton, Warren. Takapuna A: Price, Somerfield, Mills, Wernlieim. Takapuna B: White, Arrowsinitl*. Smith, Brake. Stanley A: Kennedy, Callon, Purser, Hall. Stanley B: Hindman. Keid, Jones, Ogilvie.
