It was expected to be ready at Christmaa Mr. W. H. Carbury said the hospital would take in dogs, cats and ar other animals for which there wa*room. They would have room ak for horses. The report and balance sheet wer adopted. Tho following officers were elected: President, Mr. C. H. Furness; vicepresidents, Messrs. L. E. Rhodes, J Armstead, J. B. Paterson, C. Lindesa; M. Goulburn and It. Arthur, Miss Elsie K. Morton, A. Trevithick, E. SL Moon, E. Rendell, D. Millburn and L Hawkes; official collectors, Mrs. A. Farmer and Mrs. G. Francis; honora: solicitor, Mr. J. Armstead; honorar treasurer, Mr. K. Arthur; secretar Mrs. O. R. Younghusband; inspector Mr. J. Hollingworth; honorary veter inary surgeons, Mr. W. H. Carbury ar Miss P. Dawson; honorary auditor. Mr. G. C. W. Morris. It was decided to ask the GovernorGeneral, Sir Charles Fergusson, to act as patron. It was also decided to appoint thre honorary inspectors for the city.
