HENDERSON TOWN BOARD
The Public Works Department wrote to the Henderson Town Board last evening asking to be informed of the amount received hy the board as its share of the heavy motor traffic licence fees and the manner in which it had been spent. The question of repealing the lieavv motor-traffic licence was discussed and ft. was decided that, in the event of the Act being repealed, the board considered that a percentage of the petrol tax should be paid to all local bodies, in proportion to the length of their roads; otherwise the board was opposed to the repeal of the Ac t. The Waitemata Electric-Power Board requested the board to take over the collecting of consumers’ .accounts for the supply of electricity on a basis of 11,l 1 , per cent, commission, and this was agreed to.
