r pHE most optimistic members of of the Waikato Trotting Club cannot fail to express surprise and gratification at the excellent response forthcoming from owners in connection with the entries for the summer fixture which comes up for decision on December 8 at Claudeiands. The fields are not ony numerically strong, but in point of quality are the best that have yet given an indication of being in evidence at Hamilton. The popular Waikato Club looks like having a record fixture on Saturday week.
