After leaving the concrete at Papakura, follow the Clevedon signs. From Clevedon run along the Ness Valley for five miles, where signs are met. Turn to left and continue for nine miles, when the road drop© into Kawakawa Bay. This is a delightful run. There is a good beach for bathing. (Clevedon can, of course, be reached via Howick and Whitford.)
