GIRL GUIDE RALLY
DEMONSTRATION AT DOMAIN 2,000 GIRLS TO PARTICIPATE Xext Saturday the Domain will be the scene of one of the biggest demonstrations of the kind ever held in the Dominion when the Auckland Girl Guides will hold a rally. A total of 1,500 Guides and »00 Brownies will take part, every troop in the Auckland city and suburban area being represented. Guides from as far as Waiuku and Pukekohe in the south and Waimauku in the north will take part. Tho Chief Commissioner for 3New Zealand. Mrs. W. R. Wilson, who will be accompanied by Dr. Buckley Turkington, the Auckland provincial commissioner, will take the salute at the march past. After the hoisting and breaking out of the colours the Guides will form a living map of the world, together with a pageant showing the planting of the British flag in the colonies and the spread of the Guide movement throughout the world. After the march-past a demonstration by tho Brownies will follow. The remainder of the programme, will comprise a series of historical pageants depicting the lives and deaths of great figures of the past who exemplify the ten points of Guide law.
