The rise on the cross leader, from the north end of the drive Oil the north hangingwall of the Orlando reef, has been risen 5 feet; a totai of a feet. The reef here averages 2 feet wide. The hanging\va:l portion, for one foot in width, is mixed with mullock. The footwall portion of one foot wide is a compact body of stone and looks } have secured from here this week lolb of picked stone; also stone showing colours and strong dabs of gold. The rise on the dropper of the Sons of Freedom reef has been risen S feet; a total of 81 feet. The reef here averages 10 inches wide and the quartz carries nice mineral and silica and looks promising for making gold. The footwall country rock is still mixed with quartz stringers and silica seams.”
