Hurley, Released by Persians, Hits Air Trail for Basra

(United Service) Received 9.5 a.m. BUXDER ABBASI, Sunday. AFTER a four days’ vexatious hold-up by the Persian military authorities at Bunder Abbasi, the Spirit of Australia, in which Captain Frank Hurley was attempting a record flight to England, left for Bushire at eight this morning. Another message says the plane passed Bushire on its way to Basra.
