RUMOURED LABRADOR SALE 'Australian and N.Z. Press Association) (United Service) ST. JOHNS, Saturday. The Prime Minister of Newfoundland, Sir Richard Squires, says he regards as “entirely absurd” the suggestion that any portion of Labrador, which is under the Newfoundland jurisdiction, will be transferred to the United States. With reference to a previous report regarding the rumoured sale. Sir Richard said no one had any authority to speak on his behalf or for his party, which would organise a new Government in a few days.
