Mr. E. W. Kane, Clerk of the House of* Representatives, is visiting Auckland and is staying at the Star Hotel.

The Rev. H.‘ O. Brickland, assistant curate at Ngaruawahia, has been appointed vicar of Reefton, in the Nelson diocese.

Mr. Edgar Allen, managing director for New Zealand for Electrolux, Ltd., is visiting Auckland, and is staying at the Grand Hotel.

Mr. J. L. Webb, managing director of Chandler and Co., who has been on a world tour, returned to Auckland by the Aorangi this morning.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rhodes returned to Auckland as passengers on the Aorangi, which arrived this morning. Mr. Rhodes was one of the delegates to the second Pacific Rotary Conference held recently in Tokyo, Japan.

Mr. A. C. Rowson, head of a firm of London Importers and distributors of dairy produce, has been touring the Dominion and has now returned to Auckland. With Mrs. Rowson ho is staying at the Grand Hotel.

The Rev. N. Robertshawe, vicar of St. George’s Anglican Church, Thames, has been granted 12 months’ leave of absence, and will leave Thames on February 25 for Sydney, where he will Join the P- and O. steamer Maloja. Mrs. Robertshawe will accompany her husband.
