The breed society’s secrej tary reports that during the year a j total of 903 new breeders, who had [ never had purebred purchased cattle jof this breed. Aberdeen-Angus again j made an enviable record at the leadj ing shows. Beginning at the National | Western Show at Denver, the breed ! had the reserve grand champion single steer and the grand champion carcase. At the Pacific National the grand champion single steer was an Aberdeen-Angus. At the American Royal Live Stock Show at Kansas City the grand champion car load of feeders was Aberdeen-Angus, and sold at the world’s record price of 26 dollars a cwt. At. the International, Aberdeen-Angus won more than 80 per cent, of all the inter-hreed championships. The grand champion and reserve grand champion car load of feeders, the grand champion and reserve grand champion carcase, the grand champion and reserve grand grampion steer herds, the champion get of sire, the reserve grand champion baby beef were Aberdeen-Angus. The grand champion single steer was from a purebred Aberdeen-Angus cow sired by a Shorthorn bull.
