“EASY COME, EASY GO”
Richard Dix is supported by a cast of well-known Paramount players in his latest farce comedy, “Easy Come, Easy Go,’* which is now screening at the Tudor Theatre, Remuera. With Nancy Carroll, the youthful star, as his leading woman, Dix offers a lively, laugh-provoking characterisation of a young man unwittingly made the accomplice of an accomplished crook. Charles Selon, a hose screen career has been a series of clever supporting parts, has the important role of Jim Bailey, the veteran crook, with whom Dix becomes involved. The part calls for an unusual amount of tin* acting in the humorous twists which the situations demand. The romance motive in the picture develops early, and continues throughout the various sequences. “A Certain Young Man,” an English society drama, starring Ramon Novarro. is also being shown. EDGAR WALLACE PICTURE The latest additions to the cast of | the new* Edgar Wallace film, “Alias,'’ i include a couple of three-months' Great ! Dane puppies, gawky, angular young | animals, with very puzzled faces. Their j chief ambition, at the present stage, is I not to be film stars, but to consume I everything within reach, including any available “props.” They have very imi portant parts to play in the production, but the first of their training will include getting really acquainted wit a the pretty leading lady, Betty Fail . Stewart Rome, well known to theatregoers, is the leading man in “Alias.” which will be relased by British Bominions Films.
