Mr. Maurice Diamond, the famous American ballet master now at the New Regent Theatre, belongs to a well-known American theatrical family, his father having been a theatre proprietor in New York, Chicago and Brooklyn. Starting his stage career when eight or nine years of age, he made his first venture when only 16 years of age. During his stage career of the last 25 years he has played at the principal New York theatres, and played in “The Passing Show” at the New York Winter Garden. Mr. Diamond, as well as being a comedian, is a specialist in dancing, and has 1,200 pupils at his academy in New York.
