ANNUAL MEETING SUNART TAKES HURDLES (Special to THE SUKJ LEVIN, To-day. The annual race meeting: of the Levin Club is being held to-day in beautiful, fine weather. The course is in good order and the attendance is large. Results: MANUKAU HURDLES Of £120; 1$ miles 2—SUNART, 10.7 1 I—STARSHEEL, 10.0 2 S—PANORAMA, 10.7 3 Scr.: Horomea, Olympic. Won by a length. Time, 2.46. For the Manukau Hurdles, Star Shell was favourite, with Sunart one of the best backed pf the others. Star Shell got to the front early in the race, and led to the straight from Roburant, Grand National. American Pillar, Lieut. Bill, Sunart, Fair One and Kilia. Six furlongs from heme Sunart moved up. and along the back he took - charge from Star Shell and Grand National. Sunart led into the straight and won easily by three 'lengths from Star Shell, who beat Panorama by half a length. Kilia and Grand National were next. WERAROA HURDLES Of £110; 7 furlongs 1— ELYSIANOR, 8.4 1 2 KING QUEX, 5.4 2 3 SHINING STAR, 9.0 3 Scr.: Teremoana, Primax, Gasnapper, Somes, "Vaucluse. Won by half a length. Time, 1:28. MAIDEN RACE Of £100; 6, furlongs I—THRIFT, 8.7 1 4 TOPERE, 8.7 2 3—SKYRIDER, 8.7 3 Scr.: Pegeen Oge, Flying Binge, Vaucluse, Cavity. Won by half a length. Time, 1.14 2-5.
