NEW STOPS OPERATED TO-DAY The new tram lines, together v ith their new stopping places, came into operation Lit Newmarket to-day. The new line passes through the Triangle, and has a safety zone in the middle of it. The inward stop at Station Street in the middle of Broadway lias been abolished and replaced by stops in Remuera Road and Broadway. both on tho outer side of the junction.

The new scheme is calculated to improve considerably Newmarket traffic conditions.
