MR. LYSNAR SPEAKS UP
CLEAR DECLARATION FOR COALITION ( NOTE OF WARNING Press Association GISBORNE, To-day. Accepting the returns from the various parts of the Dominion as I a pointed indication that the coun- I try is dissatisfied with the Reform administration, Mr. W. D. Lysnar commented to-day that while some useful men had fallen the electors i certainly had eliminated the major- J 'ty of those who, in his opinion, ! '?® re responsible for holding back the Prime Minister and retarding his efforts to satisfy fully the requirements of the Dominion. Lnder these circumstances, remarked j Mr. Lysnar, way should be open for a coalition between the Reform and United parties, which would be in the best interests of the country. Party prejudices should be dropped and Re°nn. United and Independent members should form one strong party against the extreme Labour element. Out of these a good stable Governhient unquestionably could be formed, results of the people’s voting practically demand such a course, and those j responsible for stopping such a coali- j tion if another election is forced on * seriously prejudiced in the eyes °f the electors. It seems to me,** concluded Mr. “that it is the duty of memthrs to exhause all possible avenues which rapprochement might i _ elYe cted. and a good stable Govern- I
ment formed from the best elements of all these parties, before forcing another General Election.”
