STOLEN CAR

BURNED IN LADIES’ MILE TAKEN FROM CUSTOMS STREET At about 10.30 o’clock last night a motor-car was found burning in Ladies’ Mile, Remuera. It was the property of Mr. Thomas Ross, of Eglinton Avenue, Mount Eden, and had been stolen by “joy-riders” from a parking plaoe in Customs Street at about 10 o’clock. The car was a five-sea ter Austin sedan, 1927 model. When the ca.r was found burning in Ladies’ Mile the Remuera Fire Brigade was called out, but by that time it was a total wreck.
