NEW PROGRAMME TO-MORROW “The Great Well,” and “Wickedness Preferred,” starring: Lew Cody and Ailene Pringle, will be shown at the Lyric Theatre for the last time this evening. A daring story of jazz and crime, “Road House,” will be the new attraction to-morrow. Lionel Parry more is the star. “Road House” tells the story of Larry Grayson, the youth who falls under the spell of Sally Carroll, the intriguing bait of a gang of thieves. Parental misunderstandings arise between Larry and his father, .and the boy in desperation turns to Sally. Through his infatuation for her, he consents to take a hand in the robbery of a road house. The outcome is a gun fight, and the killing of the proprietor. Larry is accused of the crime. After a series of fast-moving scenes, Larry escapes, his father follows him. and. realising that this disgrace is partly his fault, he offers his son the means of escape. Larry, now happy in his father’s faith, faces the law, and in dramatic court room sequence clears his name and the honour of his family. “So This is Love” will be the second feature. This is a three-cornered romance starring Shirley Mason.
