SPORTING “UPPO”
CONSIDERATION FOR OPPONENT The sporting spirit which has been shown throughout the contest by the candidates aspiring to Parliamentary honours in the Hauraki electorate was further manifested last evening, when, owing to a misunderstanding, Mr. C. R. Petrie, the Labour i | ididate, was billed to speak at the Central Theatre, Papatoetoe, at 9 p.m. Mr. E, Allan, the United candidate, had engaged the theatre, and was due to commence at 8 p.m., and when informed of the mistake, willingly agreed to curtail his address, in order to allow Mr. Petrie to keep faith with his supporters.
