THE SUN’S ARRANGEMENTS BROADCAST OF REPORTS With hoardings and loud speakers THE SUN will broadcast the result of the election polling to-night. A continuous report of the polling from all parts of the Dominion will be given. To receive this news every telephone in the office will be employed. It will be impossible, therefore, to give any results over the telephone, and subscribers are asked not to ring for information. This is a necessary prohibition to ensure the smooth working of the arrangements. The hoarding has been erected on the Albert Street frontage, and six loud speakers will broadcast from the Albert Street and Wyndham Street frontages. Progress reports will go over the air from The Sun’s special broadcast, and any unusual features of the polling in any part of Zealand will be explained by the announcer. Successful candidates in the various electorates are invited to speak over the air on The Sun’s microphone. For this purpose special facilities will be provided. If the returned candidates avail themselves of this opportunity, the people will have an immediate verbal recognition of their choice from the elected members themselves.
