ii* XI 1 T AJ. IVI TT t A A W A Extensive maintenance aud improvement operations on roads were shown in the engineer’s report, presented to a meeting of the Waikato County Council yesterday. The report stated that the Hamilton-Paeroa main highway was in very good order, having been well graded during the past month. The length from Hinton’s Gully to Newstead had been regravelled. A large amount of work had been done on the Hamilton-Rotorua main highway, and damage caused by excessive race traffic, had been repaired. The work of building up the curves and the road generally in preparation for tar-sealing had been continued. The Cambridge-Morrinsville main highway had been regraded from Cambridge to Ferris Hill, and was now in good order. A considerable amount of maintenance had been done on various roads in the Taupiri riding, and general maintenance and resanding of several roads in the Rototuna riding had been done.
