Lost Overboard
DIOMEDE ENGINEER CRUISER NOW AT SUVA (United P.A.—Bp Telegraph — Copyright) (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) Reed. 11.30 a.m. SUVA, To-day. Warrant Engineer Turner disappeared overboard from the cruiser Diomede yesterday afternoon. He was an Englishman and leaves a wife and son. A memorial service was held last evening by Captain L. V. Wells, and a salute was fired. The usual crossing- the-line ceremonies were held on the way to Suva. The Diomede sails on Tuesday for Auckland.
