Although born in England, Mr. Munns has been in New Zealand since lie was 21. He lias always been interested in mining and at the present time is chairman of dire.ctors of the Maoriland G.M. Coy. For about 25 years he has been engaged in business and is well known in the commercial world. Mr. Munns was for seven years a member of the Gisborne Borough Council; also a member of the Patriotic Association, Boxing Association, and many other public bodies. If elected he is planning to keep in close touch with the whole of the district all the time.
