WAITEMATA

Mr. Harris was first elected to Parliament for Waitemata in 1911 years ago, and he has represented that electorate continuously ever since. He is a fearless advocate for the interests of his constituency—his zeal and energy in that respect earning the commendation of political supporters and opponents alike. He lias displayed much energy in connection with the proposal to bridge the Auckland harbour. During the last session of Parliament he was successful in obtaining Government cooperation with the bridge proposal and a grant of £SOO to carry out preparatory work on the bridge site. I

R. H. tx±v±; VlLLh (United) Mr. R. H. Greville, a young New Zealander, is the eldest son of the late Mr. R. P. Greville, Commissioner of Crown < Lands, North Auckland District. He . has had a first-class scholastic record, and on his return from the war he com- J pleted the degree Master of Laws in i 1921. In 1920 he commenced practising his profession as barrister and solicitor, and has resided on the North Shore during the last nine years. Mr. Greville is a. keen advocate of the Harbour Bridge, being the Hon. Solicitor of the Association. He also served on the Takapuna Borough Council and has always taken a livelv interest in the progress of the North j Shore. Vote Greville, the Bridge Advol cate.

Mr. Osborne was born in Christchurch in 1891. and has resided in the Waitemata electorate over 33 years. He is now living at Northcote. He has taken an active interest in educational matters and was for many years a member of the Xorthcote School Committee. lie . was -for., six years a Provincial Executive member of the W.E.A. Mr. Osborne is a member of the United Friendly Society Conference and is District Sub-Chief Ranger in tha Ancient Order of Foresters.
