The visiting English tennis players, •Messrs. H. \V. Austin. J. C. Gregory. 1 G. Collins. E. Higgs. H. A. SabtH.. * nd the Maori team. Messrs. E. Howell. k P- H. Jones and Turel. were r he guests of the Maoris of Ohinemutu Wednesday evening to a dance in Dixieland, at Rotorua.. The hall was artistically decorated for the occasion 2**d delightful music was supplied by Hunter’s Jazz Orchestra. There was a good attendance at the Devon Street Hall fancy dress dance 2 n Wednesday evening, it being their nnal dance for the season/ The prize-winners were as follow: Prettiest costume. Miss Jean Carter: the most humorous, the Devon Street Jazz Band, comprised of Mesdames Hill, Savage. Greenhead and Dowdney, *md Misses G. Savage. Kamana and A. Hill; the most original costume <music). Miss Joyce Carter. Master Knowles. as Our Member. was awarded a special prize. Dance music was supplied by Mrs. Jack and extras played by Miss Johnson.
