In Old-World Dress

Fragrant Memories Revived at Ball FOR CHURCH FUNDS A very successful old-fashioned costume ball was held in Kohimarama Hall in aid of the Anglican Hall Piano Fund. The hall was gaily decorated with coloured streamers and wistaria. Morrow’s Orchestra provided excellent music. The M.C. was Mr. J. H. Hubber. During the evening Mr. Whaley, on behalf of the Women’s Guild, thanked Mrs. Hubber for the valuable work she had done in holding a series of old-time dances, which enabled the church to pay off its piano bill. A vote of thanks and the singing of “She’s a Jolly Good Fellow” and three rousing cheers were accorded Mrs. Hubber. Mrs. Campbell presented her with a beautiful bouquet.
