The weather for the Englishmen s match against New- South Wales, which commenced to-day, is fine and cool. The visitors arrived yesterday from Melbourne. They were warmly welcomed at the Central Station, and were later given a civic reception iu the Town Hall. The team to meet New South Wales is as follows:—Chapman, Jardine, Sutcliffe. Hendren, Tate, Tyldesley. Freeman, Hammond, Larwood. Ames and Leyland, with Geary as 12th man.
