SERVICE AT CENOTAPH

RELAY BY STATION SSW RECEPTION IN NEW ZEALAND Armistice Day services in London will again be heard in New Zealand. Arrangements have been completed for the relaying of the main services by the short-wave station, SSW, at Chelmsford, England, of 24 metres. Good volume can be obtained from SSW by several Auckland amateurs, a transmission this morning being received at good loud-speaker strength by Mr. H. Brown, of 15 Clifton Road, Herne Bay'. A four-valve set of the screened-grid type was used. The service at the Cenotaph should be heard here at 10.30 p.m. New Zealand summer time, on Sunday night next, and another service will be broadcast at 2.30 a.m. next morning. A service at St. Martin Le Grand and another at the Albert Hall_ will be broadcast at 7.55 a.m. and 9.3 a.m. respectively on Monday morning, New Zealand time. The early morning service was relayed by station 3YA, Christchurch, last year, and it is probable that the main New Zealand and Australian stations will fill attempt a rebroadcast this year.
