FIRE BRIGADE LOST
The Deeds Fire Brigade lost its way while going to a fire on the estate of Colonel G. R. Lane-Fox, M.P., at Brumham Park, near Tadcaster, England. The outbreak occurred at a cottage, and the brigade was summoned by telephone. Unable to find anyone who could direct them, the firemen spent half an hour scouring the neighbourhood.
Eventually a local resident indicated the spot, and they arrived at the cottage to find the building still ablaze. The flames were soon extinguished, but the cottage was almost completely burnt out.
