Collins, secretary to the Department of Industries and Commerce, left for Wellington by train last evening. The Rev. Canon Percival James, vicar of St. Mary’s Cathedral. Auckland, is visiting Palmerston North to attend the patronal festival to be conducted at all Saints* Church. Mr. F. O. Tattle, formerly manager nt the Standard Insurance Company, Napier, and uaw general manager in Melbourne, is visiting New Zealand, and is at present at Taupo. Professor Maxwell Walker, Professor A. C. Paterson, Professor H. W. Segar, and Professor W. Anderson, returned to Auckland this morning by the Limited, after a visit to Wellington. Paymaster-Commander E. N. R. Fletcher, naval secretary and secretary to the commodore commanding the New Zealand Station, who has been visiting Auckland, returned to Wellington by the Limited last evening. Captain H. Falconer, of the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company, arrived from Liverpool by the Matakana last evening. He is on holiday leave, and will spend three months at his home in Takapuna.
