City By-Election
GOOD POLLING TO-DAY ANNOUNCING THE RESULT There appears to be considerably more interest in the city by-election today than was evinced in the Transport Board poll last Wednesday. Moat of the booths have been fairly busy. There have been many visits from people who are on the Parliamentary roll, but who have not realised that separate application is necessary to secure a place on the municipal roll, and quite a number of voters have appeared prepared to try and send the right man to Parliament, only to find that another week has yet to elapse before this service is- performed. The candidates for the place vacant on the City Council are Messrs. T. Bloodworth, H. Schmidt, and J. R. Lundon. Polling closes at 7 p.m., and the reault should be known within an hour. SUN WILL SUPPLY RESULTS The results of the voting will be available from The Sun Office from 7.10 Pm. till 8.30 p.m. Ring telephone 44-820.
