ITALY CELEBRATES
VICTORY OVER AUSTRIANS PATRIOTIC ENTHUSIASM (United Service) ROME, Sunday. Almost incredible scenes of delirious enthusiasm marked the conclusion of a speech made by the Prime Minister, Signor Mussolini, on the occasion of the celebration of the tenth anniversary of Italy’s decisive victory over the Austrian invaders. Immense crowds of people filled the Plaza Venezia, in Rome, when Signor Mussolini spoke. Briefly he recounted Italy’s losses and heroisms in the war. Then he added: “I will ask you a question, but think well before you answer it.” He pointed to King Victor Emanuel’s statue, and proceeded : ‘‘Remember, he sees you, unknown soldier, listening. Would you do the same to-morrow if necessary?” The crowd responded with a great roar, and the Duce concluded: “Then carry the echo of your solemn oath to every corner of the country. Viva Italia!” Seventy thousand ex-servicemen took part in a procession. The city was bedecked with flags. "Te Deums” were sung, and salutes were fired.
