AMERICA'S PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION.—To-day’s Presidential election in the United States is for America’s 31st President. Since 1789 the Democrats have been represented at the White House only by nine Presidents, compared with the Republican's sixteen. Washington and Adams were Federationists. while Harrison, Taylor and Fillmore ruled as Whigs. Lincoln and McKinley were assassinated.
