FIRES AT HAMILTON
FHtEWORKS CAUSE TROUBLE (From Our Own Correspondent J HAMILTON, Monday. The Hamilton Fire Brigade received three calls this evening. Two were due to fireworks —a hedge in O’Neill Street, Claudelands, and some gorse in Rua Street, Frankton. While engaged in attending to these outbreaks the brigade received a call to Bell Street. Claudelands, where a new unoccupied house, owned by Mr. Martin Scott, had caught fire. Damage to the extent of £2O was done.
