TWO HOUSES BURNED

OWNER’S NARROW ESCAPE Press Association BLENHEIM, Monday. As the result of an early morning outbreak of fire a six-roomed farmhouse, owned and occupied by Mr. T. P. O’Connor. Old Renwick Road, was destroyed. Mr. O'Connor had to escape through a bedroom window. The insurance on the house was £675 and on the contents £3OO. An old five-roomed two-storeyed dwelling at Renwick. occupied by Mr. Walter Brooks, was completely destroyed by fire. The insurance on the buildings was £2OO, but the contents, valued at £4OO, were not insured.
