NEW GOODS SHED
UP-TO-DATE RAILWAY BUILDING OPENING ON MONDAY Auckland's new outward railway goods shed will bo open for business next Monday. It represents the must up-to-date building of its kind in the boiuiniun, and the facilities lor tne quick handling of goods will bo very much appreciated by business firms. Inside the building mere will be uvI commodation lor t»4 wagons, all of i which can be loaded either lroiu the | two double-sided platforms or direct | from the conveyances under the one roof. There will bo one-way traffic; vehicles entering tiio building from Breakwater Road and coming out on to a concreted area into Quay Street. Although the w hole equipment of the new shea will not bo installed by Monday, temporary cranes and other machines win bo erected until the permanent machinery arrives nvm overseas.
A 20-ton weighbridge, a permanent fixture, wnl be in position by Monday, but three whip cranes on each platform and three platform scales wul bo only temporary.
