BLASE OPOTIKI
LITTLE INTEREST IN ELECTION CANDIDATES' CAMPAIGNS (Special to THE SUN) OPOTIKI, To-day. Owing to the fact that he has to be in Wellington because of the press of ministerial duties, the Hon. K. S. Williams, Minister of Pubic Works, was again compelled to curtail his election campaign. He will speak only at the most important parts of the electorate, and give his address at Opotiki on Thursday night, instead of the night preceding election day. * His Labour opponent. Mr. A. t . Moncur, has now completed a full programme along the East on the Gisborne side of his electorate. M» Moncur is now finishing .his campaign in the Opotiki district. He continues to receive a much better reception than his opponents anticipated. Very little interest is being manifested in the Opotiki district m the election, which is the first held here for eight years.
