RAILWAY EXTENSIONS
MR. SPEIRS EXPLAINS In . addressing electors at the corner of Wood Street and Ryle Street, Ponsonby, Mr. R. B. Speirs, United candidate for Auckland West, dwelt upon the party’s policy of railway development. He did not favour private enterprise in railway operations, but allied himself with his leader in the completion of unfinished main lines. Mr. Speirs also addressed an openair meeting at the corner of Oliphant Street and Summer Street.
At both meetings he was accorded a vote of thanks and confidence.
