BILLIARDS MATCH ABANDONED Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, Monday. The billiards match between Walter Lindrum and Clark McConachy has been abandoned owing to the illness of McConachy, who is now a patient at the Christchurch Hospital. Lindrum began a match to-day of 4,000 up with W. Smith, a local player, conceding him 2,000. The scores at the end of the day were:—Lindrum (in play). 2,000; Smith, 2,298. Lindrum’s best breaks were 481, 298, 145, 268, 251 and 157.
