SCHOOL ATHLETICS

(From Our Own Correspondent) NGATEA, Monday. Representatives of six of the nine Hauraki Plains primary school committee met at Ngatea last week to discuss a proposal by the Kaihere Committee that a Hauraki Plains primary schools championship athletic sports meeting be held. The idea was approved, but as some difficulty was experienced in fixing a championship programme which would be fair to schools of various sizes, the matter was referred to the several committees for suggestions, and it was agreed that another meeting be held on November 27. It was suggested that the sports be held at Ngatea on February 14.
