BRITAIN’S BID

Airship for Atlantic Service TO COST HALF A MILLION (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) Reed. 9.5 a.m. LONDON, Sunday, The Airship Guarantee Company is now preparing designs for a dirigible embodying the lessons taught by the flight of the Zeppelin LZI27. The designs are based on the Burney RollsRoyce dirigible now being completed at Howden. The object of the company is to build ail airship to carry 16S passengers and with a speed of 100 miles an hour. It is to be capable of 100 negotiating Atlantic storms and to fly from London to New York in 48 hours, and from New York to London in 36 hours. The new dirigible will cost £ 500,000.
