ROTORUA CLUB (From Our Own Correspondent) ROTORUA, Sunday. Rotorua Club opened the season on Saturday. There was a very large attendance. and good contests resulted. The president, Dr. Hay, expressed his pleasure at the prospect of the season being a very busy and interesting one. Johns, 6—-S, 6—o; Ohlson and Smith lost to Campbell and Morrin, 6—5, 3—6, I—6 Munro and Barriball lost to Allen and Lee, 3—6, 3—b, Mrs. Mclntosh and Miss Arkle lost to Miss Pleydell and Miss Johns, 6—4, 3—6, s—-6; Mrs. Barker and Munro beat Mrs. L. At Waiuku, the Pukekohe B team won from the Waiuku B team by eight games to six. The Waiuku B team were defeated by the Pukekohe B team at Waiuku, by eight matches to six. PAPAKURA V. ARDMORE The Papakura Methodist Tennis Club beat Ardmare Tennis Club on Saturday at Papakura by nine sets to one. Papakura names first. .
