The president, Dr. Hay, expressed his pleasure at the prospect of the season being a very busy and interesting one. Johns, 6—-S, 6—o; Ohlson and Smith lost to Campbell and Morrin, 6—5, 3—6, I—6 Munro and Barriball lost to Allen and Lee, 3—6, 3—b, Mrs. Mclntosh and Miss Arkle lost to Miss Pleydell and Miss Johns, 6—4, 3—6, s—-6; Mrs. Barker and Munro beat Mrs. L.
