Mrs. Maguire, who is the official Reform candidate for Auckland East, i 6 the wife of Dr. Maguire, Medical Superintendent of the Auckland HosDuring the war she was awarded the M B.E-. and a special decoration from the Navy League. She was a member 0 f tho Auckland City Council for five years, is a past president of the Civic League, and is now president of the M vers Free Kindergarten. She is deeply interested in the women’s movement, and during her extensive travels has studied many phases of work in connection with women and children. Mrs. Maguire has placed as the foundation of her policy. Truth, Tolerance, and Thrift.
Born in his own electorate, 49 years ago, and now Managing Director of Messrs. A. B. Donald, Ltd., Mr. Donald has proved himself to be a man of undoubted ability, integrity, and has at his Fingertips a world-wide experience of commerce and sound finance, two essential qualifications for Parliamentary Representatives. Owing to dissatisfaction with the present regime, the coming Elections have undoubtedly brought out many candidates of outstanding business ability, among these, Mr. Jas. B. Donald, who is contesting the Auckland East Seat in the interests of the United Party.
