And although the stout woman will cling to very long bodices, the slim girl will revel in the change, and welcome back the correct waistline, with its shorter bodices, and therefore longer skirts. Belts will all be very narrow, and when they are not worn, very fine pipings of material will divide skirt from bodice in an unobtrusive way. Here at least the tall slim girl has the advantage over her short stout sister. For the natural waistline is a torture to her of solid proportions. If she is short it not only makes her look rounder, but takes a couple of inches off her already skimpy height.
